Compact RF Cable Assembly Links Automotive FAKRA Interfaces with PCB-Level MHF Connections for Antenna, Wireless, and Embedded System Integration

ATTEND, a leading provider of advanced connectivity solutions, introduces its FAKRA-to-I-PEX MHF Cable Assembly, designed to bridge automotive FAKRA interfaces with compact PCB-level RF connections. As automotive electronic systems integrate more antennas, RF cabling, communication modules, and compact PCBs, limited installation space can make RF interface integration and mechanical layout increasingly complex. FAKRA-to-I-PEX MHF connectivity separates vehicle-side FAKRA interfaces from compact board-level RF connections, improving cable routing and module placement while simplifying overall RF system integration.

By combining a vehicle-side FAKRA connector, flexible coaxial cable, and compact I-PEX MHF interface, the assembly keeps larger FAKRA connection points away from space-constrained PCB areas. This architecture reduces board-level connector footprint while providing greater flexibility for antenna placement, PCB layout, and communication module integration. Designed for 50 Ω RF signal paths, the assembly supports GNSS, cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, infotainment, gateway, and other automotive and embedded RF applications.
